Fall is officially here and I’m so here it. This is my favorite season to dress for; mainly because of the weather and the rich warm tones. I’m falling for all the rich camels, cognacs, nudes and chocolate browns. Even though I love these classic fall colors, I’ve really been green with envy over sage. This underrated color is new on the scene, but is perfect to display all that is Fall goodness. Keep reading to see why you need it and to shop some of my favorite picks in this glorious color.
Sage is a must have this season, in my opinion. It’s muted pigment offers a subtle sophistication that is so chic. Its muted color also allows it to act as a neutral. This means you can pair with most colors and the outcome will be spectacular.
As I mentioned above, sage green is neutral, making it super easy to pair up. If you want to take the neutral route pair it with chocolate brown, black, gray or nude. For an ultra chic look, I love it paired with white or cream. If you want to spice it up a bit here are some of my favorite color pairings. Try navy, fuschia, burnt orange or red. These colors lend a bold but sophisticated appeal when paired with sage.
Another great fact about sage green is it lends itself to a variety of silhouettes. The color reads well in a dress just as much as a sweater or trousers. If you want to really make a statement, try sage green in outerwear. Fall and winter is the best time to make a major statement with a coat or jacket; so why not try it in this color. You’ll be sure to get loads of compliments your outfits.and will have no problem matching you. Some of my suggestions would be a midi wool overcoat, faux leather shacket or trench or a puffer.

So although not one of the tried an true recurring Fall colors, sage green is definitely on trend this season. So don’t just think of sage as the herb for your turkey this Thanksgiving, but part of the recipe for a fashionable Fall outfit.
