Spring is here and what better way to tell than by warmer temps and spring buds starting to bloom. But one thing that definitely lets you know Spring is here are all of the pastel colors that start to surface. The runways were covered in them and the sorbet soft tones have definitely made their way down to my favorite retailers. From lilacs to blush, tangelo and lots of pastel yellow tones. I have seen so many gorgeous colors I want to rock this season. Although I don’t consider pastels a trend, its definitely in full force this Spring. I know it’s common for people to steer away thinking they will look like they’re off to take a picture with the Easter bunny. However, one can look very chic in pastel and I’m sharing ways to do just that.
There are so many ways to incorporate them into your wardrobe. introduce a bag or shoe if you tend to steer away from color. Or if you’re bold, try pairing together like I have. There’s no wrong combination because the pale saturation lets them not become overpowering. I’m listing some of my favorite styles to try it out this season.
Handbags
There have been so many great handbag styles popping up in pretty pastel hues. A handbag is a great way to add a little uumph to your look without being overpowering. Add a dainty clutch to your favorite floral dress or rock with your favorite color blazer and jeans. Here are some of my picks below.
Shoes
You guys know I live for a good shoe. A shoe has the ability to transform even the simplest of outfits. Pastel colored shoes are all the rage right now and I’m here for it. Add to your favorite sundress or jazz up a simple t-shirt and jeans look. The options are endless and again there’s really no wrong way to wear them.
Tip: An easy way to pair a pastel is with its darker hue. If youre wearing a fuchsia pant, pair a blush colored bag or shoe. If you’re wearing a violet dress, try a lilac handbag. Pastels are simply pale variations of its originating color hue, so this is a sure shot way to pull it off.
Dresses
Wearing dresses is probably one of my favorite ways to wear the trend. They are so easy to wear because you only have to think about one item of clothing. They also look so beautiful in gorgeous pastel shades. My favorite colors are mint, blush, buttercup and powder blue. If you’re not so much into dresses, you can totally rock a pastel skirt or suit.
